SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs guard Beno Udrih broke his finger in training camp on Thursday.
Udrih will wear a cast for a couple of weeks while his left index finger heals, and probably won’t be able to do much for three or four weeks, said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.
Udrih didn’t have as big a role on the team last season because veteran Jacque Vaughn took over as backup point guard to Tony Parker. Udrih is beginning his fourth season with the Spurs. He averaged 4.7 points in 73 games last year.
